Boosting Organizational Commitment Through Visionary Leadership and Work Life Balance

This research aims to analyze the relationship between visionary leadership, organizational commitment and work life balance among employees of PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. Bogor. This study uses a quantitative approach by applying the multivariate analysis method. The population consists of all employees of PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. Bogor as many as 2,700 people. Among them, a total of 337 employees were selected in the sample based on the Morgan table. Data were collected using a questionnaire and literature study and then analyzed using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) data analysis method, namely Amos Software. The results showed that: (1) Visionary Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Commitment, (2) Visionary Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Work Life Balance, (3) Work Life Balance has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Commitment, and (4) Visionary Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Commitment mediated by Work Life Balance. The results of this research fill in the lack of references that provide explanations about the influence of Visionary Leadership on Organizational Commitment mediated by Work Life Balance. This study also proves that the Visionary Leadership theory which is formulated in different social settings is still relevant in the realm of leadership in Indonesia.
