Back ground: Root canal infections refer to any infection occur in the dental root canal caused by bacteria mostly anaerobes. Objective: to isolate E. faecalis by cultivation technique and to investigate the virulence factors, also to study a relationship between E. faecalis isolated from root canal infected cases and age. Moreover studying effect of some irrigation solution against E. faecalis. Results: the results of cultivation technique of current study was showed that which about (68.8% n=55) were positive cases, while, about ((31.3%, n=25) were negative cases, and 60% of isolates has ability to protease production while about 90% of E.faecalis has ability for production of gelatinase, and most isolates have ability of adherence to oral epithelial cell and 100% biofilm production. Finally there is statically significant difference between age group and E. faecalis isolated from endodontic infections.
