The world, today, knows a social phenomenon represented in alternative means for settling disputes, which have evolved alongside the formal mechanisms to resolve them, which is a group of mechanisms that can be adopted to resolve disputes with the participation and consent of its parties, but they are not completely substitute for the judiciary, they are only a substitute for some judicial procedures, and eventually take place under the judicial supervision. The alternative means of settling disputes is not a new mechanism, but it is very old since ancient times, and it was present and effective at that time.
