The results of an experimental research on the initial information about the readiness of bachelor students of the specialty "Social pedagogy and self-cognition" for practical work in an inclusive education is presented in the article. A combined research was conducted, the results of which revealed the predisposition of future social pedagogues to practical work in inclusive education. The research was attended by respondents-third and fourth-year students of the specialty "Social pedagogy and self-cognition" of the department of pedagogy and educational management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan). The authors analyzed the difficulties faced by students during their pedagogical practice with a contingent of children with special educational needs (SEN); what methods are most often used with students with disabilities and give the most tangible results in correcting children of this category; what qualities should a social pedagogue have working in an inclusive education environment. During the analysis of the research, the researchers found out about the predisposition of students of the 3rd-4th year of the bachelor's degree in "Social pedagogy and self-cognition” to practical work in an inclusive education.
