This study delineates the phospholipid flexible carrier systems explored till date primarily for transdermal delivery. Although they are sometimes collectively called as flexible vesicular systems or simple transferosomes. But an articulate understanding of main difference between advanced transferosomes from the conventional one is needed. This paper explains basic difference in various flexible nano carries from transferosomes and the specific terminology used for them.
